Canada is a large and diverse country with many different landscapes, cultures, and communities. In Let’s Visit Canada, students explore everything from tall mountains and deep forests to wide prairies, icy northern regions, and busy cities. The resource introduces children to Canada’s provinces and territories, important symbols like the maple leaf and the beaver, and famous landmarks across the country. It also helps students understand that Canada is home to many cultures, languages, and traditions, making it a true mosaic of people.
Throughout the unit, students learn how to read maps, identify capital cities, recognize Canadian animals and symbols, and discover what makes each region unique. They explore how people live, work, and celebrate across the country, and they begin to understand how geography, history, and culture shape daily life in Canada. With activities, vocabulary building, and engaging facts, Let’s Visit Canada helps Grade 3 learners build pride in their country while developing important social studies and literacy skills.
