Canadian Money (Grades 1–2) is a comprehensive, hands‑on resource that teaches students how to identify, count, represent, add, and subtract Canadian money. It includes coin information sheets, counting practice, matching activities, problem‑solving tasks, and real‑world scenarios such as shopping and making change. Students learn to count by 1s, 5s, and 10s, compose and decompose money amounts, and represent values in multiple ways. The resource also incorporates engaging activities like Scoot games, design‑a‑coin tasks, and word searches to reinforce learning.

The unit includes differentiated worksheets for both Grade 1 and Grade 2, ensuring progression from simple coin identification to more complex counting and operations up to one dollar. Assessments and rubrics for each grade provide teachers with ready‑to‑use evaluation tools. With clear visuals, scaffolded practice, and curriculum‑aligned tasks, this resource supports strong foundational financial literacy skills for early learners.
