Story Summary:

Pippi Longstocking is a spirited nine‑year‑old girl who lives all alone in a quirky old house at the edge of a small Swedish town. After her mother died when she was a baby, Pippi spent years sailing the world with her father, a sea captain, until he was swept overboard in a storm and vanished. Believing he may still be alive, Pippi settles into Villa Villekulla with her horse and her mischievous monkey, Mr. Nilsson. Next door live Tommy and Annika, who quickly become her closest friends. They adore visiting Pippi because every day with her is an unpredictable adventure filled with wild stories, outrageous exaggerations, and joyful chaos. Her fearless independence, boundless imagination, and humorous escapades make the story both exciting and unforgettable.
