The Three Billy Goats Gruff tells the story of three hungry goats who must cross a bridge to reach a meadow full of fresh grass, but a greedy troll living beneath the bridge threatens to eat anyone who tries. One by one, the smallest and middle goats trick the troll by promising that a bigger, tastier goat is coming next, allowing them to cross safely. When the biggest goat arrives, he refuses to be intimidated, knocks the troll off the bridge, and clears the way so all three goats can enjoy the meadow in peace.
